'SAVE THE WILDS' CAMPAIGN

In 2022, following the cancellation of Amazon Prime Video's 'The Wilds', a globally recognised show celebrated for its diversity and representation, I helped create the 'Save The Wilds' global fan-led campaign to bring the series back.

The campaign was split into teams across communications, fundraising, media and design. I joined the design team, creating show-inspired graphics to support renewal or pickup by other streaming platforms. Designed in Procreate, my visuals (above) were shared hundreds of times across social media and seen by cast members and major streaming platforms.

After months of fundraising and media traction, the campaign secured a billboard on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, directly opposite Hulu’s headquarters. I collaborated with four artists from around the world to create the final artwork, contributing the background, one character illustration, and assisting with the final layout. The billboard was, again, recognised and reposted by many of the cast and writers and seen by Amazon Prime Video officials.

Following the billboard launch, the campaign expanded into focused teams to produce targeted graphics. I joined the corporation team, creating Hulu-inspired adverts for email and social media outreach. Designed by me (with the exception of the app mock-up made by a member of the team and show posters via Amazon/Hulu/Disney+), these visuals were sent directly to Hulu officials.

The next phase focused on interactive content that fans could engage with, helping to grow the community and expand the world of the show. I created the graphics shown above for this stage.

Shortly after, despite our efforts, the writers reluctantly confirmed that while Prime Video had seen the campaign, the series would not be renewed, and Hulu would not be acquiring it.
